Day 1   Beijing

Arrive at Beijing Airport today. You are met by Access China Tours service staff and transferred to your hotel in downtown. Meet your fellow travelers and tour manager at the Evening Reception, and learn more about the upcoming events and activities.

Day 2   Beijing

Begin your sightseeing with a walk on Tiananmen Square, the world's largest. Then move on to visit the Forbidden City, magnificent imperial palaces of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

After lunch, explore some of Beijing's old 'Hutongs' - the traditional courtyard residences cut into blocks by narrow alleyways.

Later, visit the elegant Yonghegong Lamasery belonging to the school of Tibetan Buddhism.

Return to your hotel for some rest before heading to a local restaurant to enjoy a Peking Duck Banquet.

Day 3   Beijing

Visit the Temple of Heaven in the morning. See Chinese doing Taiji in the park and examine the beautiful structure of the Hall of Prayer.

Stop by the lively Panjiayuan Market where antiques and other goods are sold.

Visit the enchanting Summer Palace, a huge imperial resort for the Qing emperors. Walk through the 'Long Corridor' with brilliant decorative paintings on the ceiling, and see the unique Marble Boat and the charming Seventeen-Arch Bridge.

In the evening, enjoy a classic Imperial Cuisine Dinner.

Day 4   Beijing

Today's highlight is your excursion to the extraordinary Great Wall of China. Explore the Mutianyu section, where the Wall snakes up and down on ridges of green mountains.

Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is free to explore on your own.

City Wall, Xi'an

Day 5   Beijing g Xi'an

This morning, transfer to the airport and fly to Xi'an, an ancient capital of China. Meet and transfer to your hotel in downtown.

After refreshing in the hotel, go to visit the City Wall and Shaanxi History Museum, one of the best in China.

Enjoy a characteristic Dumpling Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6   Xi'an

The discovery of the 2,200-year-old Terracotta Warriors in 1974 once shocked the world. Inside the museum, three exhibition halls house the continuing excavation of an army of 7,000 terracotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of China's first emperor, Qin Shihuang. It is a stunning exhibit of ancient artifacts that is well laid-out and easy to view.

Upon returning to the city, tour the Big Goose Pagoda and a market street in the city's southern district.

After a delicious Local Cuisine Dinner, go to enjoy a colorful Tang Style Stage Show.

Day 7   Xi'an g Shanghai

Fly to Shanghai, China's largest cosmopolitan city. Emerging from the sea thousands of years ago, Shanghai literally means "out to the sea".

On the Bund, the splendid row of early 20th century European buildings remains the quintessential Shanghai sight. Acknowledged as an architectural miracle, Yuyuan Garden is a well-restored Suzhou-style garden that was constructed by a Ming Dynasty official in 1559.

Day 8   Shanghai

Visit the marvelous Shanghai Museum, a leading attraction in the city since it opened in 1994. Designed to resemble an ancient cooking pot, the building is an architectural gem and its galleries contain world-class collections of ancient arts and artifacts. The Bronze Gallery is probably the best of its kind in the world.

Move on to the former French Concession, represented by the leafy Fuxing Park, for a walking tour of the architecture in the area. Laid out by the French in 1909, it remains one of the city's most pleasant parks - it's a refuge for the elderly and a practicing field for Taiji masters and itinerant musicians.

Afternoon is free. Tonight, enjoy a Shanghai Cuisine Dinner in a local restaurant followed by a fabulous Acrobatic Show at Shanghai Centre.

Day 9   Shanghai g Hangzhou

Take a morning train to Hangzhou, another ancient capital city in China.

Topping the sightseeing list is a visit to Huqingyutang, an old pharmacy store with a museum dedicated to the traditional Chinese medicine.

Later in the day, go to the Lingyin Temple in the lush green hills northwest of the city. This spectacular temple is one of the ten most celebrated Buddhist monasteries in China.

Day 10   Hangzhou

For centuries, Hangzhou has been known for the beauty and tranquility of its West Lake. Its blue mists and soft hills are truly a Chinese painting come to life.

On the outskirts of the city are the lush tea bushes that produce the highly regarded Longjing Tea. Visit a Tea Plantation and Tea Museum.

Enjoy a Hangzhou Cuisine Dinner in a fine local restaurant.

Day 11   Hangzhou g Guilin

Wing on to Guilin, one of China's most idyllic cities. Visit the mysterious and colorful caverns at Ludi Cave, and the Duxiu Peak for a spectacular view.

Tonight enjoy a Sichuan Flavor Dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 12   Guilin

Travel by vehicle to the mountainous Longsheng to see beautiful rice terraces and to visit villages of ethnic Dong and Yao peoples.  It is definitely one of the highlights of touring in China. Return to Guilin by evening.

Day 13   Guilin g Hong Kong

Board a motorboat for a Li River Cruise and savor the lovely view of the area's extraordinary limestone peaks and country scene.

Disembark in Yangshuo, and explore the local market lined with stalls and souvenir shops selling traditional ornaments, jewelry and paintings of landscapes.

Board a late afternoon flight to wonderful Hong Kong - Asia's busiest port and major financial center.

Day 14   Hong Kong

Hong Kong has always been inextricably linked to Mainland China in a variety of ways, such as family ties, trade, economy and traditions. British legacy is also very obvious due to 150 plus years of colonial rule.

Take a half-day guided tour of the Hong Kong Island. Get to the top of Victoria Peak by cable car for a spectacular view of the harbor. Visit the tranquil fishing village of Aberdeen, where life style seems unchanged for centuries. Also tour the beautiful Repulse Bay with white sandy beaches.

Afternoon is for free exploration.

Explore Hong Kong on own or go for some good shopping.
